WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY


Alec Moody is a writer-director based out of Los Angeles. 

Growing up, Alec revolted against writing (just as you would, if your mother was your English teacher). Though, later in life, Alec realized writing was the perfect outlet to express his anxieties.

Whether it be disappearing into irrelevance, failing to succeed, the agony of family, or death - every one of Alec’s stories is born from the cretinous absurdity of modern fear. A signature Moody script features a cast of colorful characters in the ensemble, unpredictable pivots, snappy dialogue, and focuses on a rollicking female protagonist who refuses to succumb to the cynical world around her.

Recently, Alec has begun developing his first feature film DEEP CUTS. His ensemble dark caper-comedy, THE OTHER SARATOGA, has received several 8's on the Blacklist, and is being pitched as an attractive prospect for high ticket talent. 

In the summer of 2026, he and his partner Kyla Diane Kennedy created the “meta-social horror” project MIA MAKES MANIFST: a horror film cleverly disguised as Tiktoks / Reels that blurs the line of reality while scattering narrative breadcrumbs that rewarded it’s audience’s curiosity. The project amassed over 10 million views across two platforms in under 30 days.
